Why come to sell at Pembridge Auction?

Everyone is welcome to enter lots into our auctions, but please note we do not accept items posted to the Village Hall, as we are only there on sale days and the Village Hall is either empty or occupied by others at other times.

Never entered lots into an auction before? Then please just bring your items, which you have for sale, along to the auction at the stated times below, and inform one of our staff that you are new to the game. They will advise you how to proceed!

We believe that we offer a service that compares favourably with our competitors.

We sell almost anything (Legal!), from boxes of assorted items of very little value to quality antiques.

And here is the best news!!!
We only charge a 6% commission (minimum £2.40 per lot) but please note: this fee is also payable if your item is unsold. Fees are inclusive of VAT! (We originally introduced this fee, to avoid the trade and private sellers entering lots into our auction with reserves which we considered to be over ambitious. We felt some vendors were only entering lots with a view to having their possessions valued. Also, we had more entries than we could handle!!) We've found this system to be a successful formula which seems to be popular with vendors.

Please remember, most lots, whatever their value, are welcomed at Pembridge, but if your item only sells for £2 or does not attract any bid, then the £2.40 charge may seem excessive. However, if your item sells for £100 or £1000 or even more, then this deal will be hard to match ANYWHERE!

As sellers are charged such a low commission, we feel that they are able sell their items a little cheaper than at other auctions, yet, still have a greater return! After all, the only cash amount that should tempt sellers is not the hammer price realised, but the actual return to themselves!

Also, as sellers are able to offer their items with lower reserves, as mentioned above, this makes it very popular with the buyers. Our sales are usually VERY well attended and the percentage of sold lots is very high compared to most other auctions.

Fast payment!!! BACS payments can be made within a few days following the sale. Prefer cash?? Cash can be collected at the following sale, usually the next Monday. If you are a regular vendor, we can even pay out cash on the night of the sale, but be prepared to wait for a while after the sale ends!

Entries accepted: Sunday afternoon 2:00pm-4:30pm by prior appointment.
